Default Language

Hi, I have set Chinese as the default language of my website (Engligh as the second language) so that it will display the Chinese homepage for first time visitors.
However the system notifications were also changed to Chinese as a result. Is there a way to set the default language of the webpage as Chinese but I can still receive system notifications in English? Thanks.
