How do I get my default header image to be displayed in the post slider of the magazine frontpage?
Right now I don’t see anything, because the tagged posts don’t have images attached.
And I want to prevent having to add the same image to each of these posts.

Ehm… after some teste=ing of different settings I come to the conclusion, that having featured images is actually not so bad… but what the post slider is missing, is what happens if a tagged post displayed in the post slider has no featured image. Then the default haeder image should be displayed.

    How do I do that?

Can anybody reply this? I have the same problem. The Default header image doesn’t show up in the Magazine. How can I make this work?

If you go to the Courage theme folder and look in its images folder you will see a file called “default-slider-image.png” and that’s the file you need to replace.

Simply upload an 880×290 image you want to use in PNG format (as that’s what “featured-content-slider.php” calls for) and you should be good to go.

    Thank you.

You are welcome. One thing to bear in mind (as it just happened to me!) is that if the theme is updated through WP you may well find that “default-slider-image.png” gets overwritten and you will need to upload your version again.

I would like to have the 3 columns (magazine layout) on the home page but with a static image at the top, or even a slider, but not a slider based on the posts. Is this possible or should I be looking for a different theme?

    Thank you.
