I’ve replaced the default image in \wp-content\plugins\contextual-related-posts with one of my own. I renamed default.png to default1.png, and added a different default.png to replace the old one.

I’ve cleared the cache and re-indexed, but the old default image keeps appearing. I’ve also tried redirecting the default image in the Thumbnail Options to a different one altogether, but that doesn’t work either.

Is there another way to replace the default image?

    Thanks!

You shouldn’t replace the one in the contextual-related-posts folder since that will get overwritten always.

Have you tried to add a default image through the media manager, i.e Media >

And then get the link from there and use it? Do you see this problem when you resave the settings?
