Default Feature Image

It would be great to have a way to define a default feature image per (custom)-post-type and that if the first image in a post gets picked up that this also shows in the feature image column without need to reinsert it there.

Additionally it would be pretty helpful if these featured images automatically would get also used as Facebook, Twitter, etc (social media) images. One image for all and never again a post on social media without an image.
