I am unable to set a default category or add the Google Map API in order to activate this feature (Google Map is set up correctly). When I enter any details and click ‘save’, the input box returns to blank. I’ve deactivated all the plugins and used the Twenty Nineteen theme. However, I’m still unable to get the plugin to function properly. Any ideas, please? Thank you

  • Hello,

Sorry but I’m quite confused with what you mean on Default Category? For google maps, You can check our documentation here: https://wp-events-plugin.com/documentation/google-maps/

This sounds like a js error?
Are there any errors in your browser console?

Also, are you able to save other EM settings?

    Hi Patrick

Thank you for your prompt response – much appreciated. I’ll take another look as I am not getting any other errors. It looks as if the ‘save’ button isn’t saving any updates in the general settings. Checked my browser console and all seems fine. I can save information on other plugins. I’ll run some more tests today. Thank you Will

    Hi Both,

Thanks again. I’m thinking it could be a multisite issue (sorry, I should have mentioned this – penninekids.uk) as I checked with another single install website (shepleyvillage.org) and everything is working fine.

I do think it is a JS issue. I’ll make sure the installer is run on each of the sub-sites correctly on the multi-site installation ie. ensure I have configured properly.

    Hello,

if you’re using MultiSite, and it’s on a different domain. Please make sure that you have also added those domain on allowed domain/HTTP referrers:

    Please check Step 3 (#7) on: https://wp-events-plugin.com/documentation/google-maps/api-key/

    Hi Timrv

I really do appreciate your help – thank you. I’ll double-check this. It isn’t just the Google maps API that won’t save, but also default ‘event category’ box and default locations box too when I try to change defaults. I think it is a JS issue as has been suggested. The ‘save button’ simply won’t save anything….

    Hello,

Have you checked your browser console if it displays any error?
