Default Bullet Points Also Displaying

Hello,

I recently installed this plugin because I wanted to display check marks for certain bullet lists rather than the standard option available in the WordPress editor. But I noticed that when I insert the short code both the default and the check mark appear side by side. Why would this be? I am not displaying the relevant post on my blog at this time, but any advice would be much appreciated.
