This is somewhat embarrassing… okay, very embarrassing.

I installed BackWPup, looked at the settings and they all seemed to suit my needs already, so went back and ran the default “New” job.

Silly me, I didn’t define the directory where to put the files.

So now, I have a backup which was apparently successful, except I can’t find the files. I notice the default directory is “/customers/…”, where is this exactly? I’ve searched (via FTP) through my entire domain and can’t find anything.

So, first, where do you reckon my backup’s disappeared to, and second, how do I format the string to put in the “Directory to back up to” box?

Thank you in advance for help.

  • ther is a hint under the box that shows you your location on the server and u must it format as the same.

the “/customers/…” must be a temp directory and on a hosting compny you can’t accsess it directly.

But the backup fill will deleted in the temp dir if no ‘Backup to …’ configured.

    Thank you very much.

    You’ve confirmed what I’ve long suspected… I’m dumb.
