Hi, my league have introduced a new rule for 2020, being if a game is cancelled then the team have two points deducted from their totals. Any ideas how this can be achieved?

Is their a way for me to override the points totalling and deduct these points?

That’s interesting. Perhaps you can use the Overtime Loss field in update records, and assign a value of -2 to an OT Loss?

Hi Mark, thanks for your reply. Tried that, but can’t seem to get it to alter the table accordingly. Any further ideas?

Where would you put that it’s an overtime loss? Have changed in settings that an overtime loss is minus two points, but on the Manage Game, where would you indicate that it’s an OTL?

If using the Update Table, how would you indicate that it’s an Overtime Loss to get the table to amend to show this?

Sorry for so many questions. The problem item is on the 2020 Women’s Division, and the game is Cheltenham v Cwm Draig. As you will see here it showing up the present points system of 3pts for a win, and 1pt for a loss. I need to get it to show -2pts https://bwwpl.com/2020-fixtures-results

    Hi Mike,
    1. I’m talking about using the manual records (the Update Records admin screen). (I see you purchased the MSTW League Manager Add-ons, if that’s what you are referring to, please open a thread on the support forums on shoalsummitsolutions.com. I don’t support paid plugins on www.remarpro.com, but the answer below applies across versions.)

    2. I gave you half an answer last time. There is a filter to change the points (and other) calculations, see https://shoalsummitsolutions.com/lm-actions-filters/. You can use it to change how wins, losses, etc are awarded points. There are too many possibilities across sports to handle every case in the settings.

    3. Yes, the Update Records screen is the only place you can add OT wins and losses at the moment. That means you cannot currently use the “auto-fill standings” setting and enter OT wins and loses right now.

    Mike,
I checked this out, and it turns out you don’t need the filters. The admin screen for standings does it for you. (At least it did for me.)

Here’s a screenshot of the settings I used in the admin screen:

Here’s a screenshot of the resulting standings (shortcode):

It looks to me like everything works as you need it to out of the box.

    Let me know.
