Decryption password

    I have backed up my website with the free version. When I try to restore on a different host, I receive the error “Only backups made with BackWpup can be restored” and it asks for a decryption key. My backup is not encrypted.

    Thank you for reaching out.

    The Backup restore will ask for a decryption key only when you have an encrypted backup following this: –?https://backwpup.com/docs/how-can-i-encrypt-backups-before-i-upload-them/.

    Can you please try reinstalling latest version and see if it helps?

    This happend to me too. I am on free subscription (so I am not able to encrypt) but still when restoring, it asks for a decryption key. And it is not encrypted because I can read it in my file explorer

    I am on the latest Plugin version! I no longer have the original site available, so this shoul be solved in one or other way.
