Decrease space above & below header image

The image is pretty large, https://ninjaninja.co.uk/thebagfanatic/wp-content/uploads/2013/07/bag.png , but you don’t have to edit it to get the effect your looking for.

But what you’re looking for is the
<header id=”masthead” class=”site-header” role=”banner”>

The css:

header #masthead{
height:335px;
background-position:0 -50px;
}

header #masthead{
height:335px;
background-position:center -50px;
}

and if you want, you could put

header #masthead{
height:335px;
background-position:center -50px;
border-bottom:50px solid #000000;
}

thanks for the response but that hasnt worked Im afraid

fixed by changing the size of the header and then amending custom-header.php to accept the different size image

Oh I meant header#masthead without the space, but glad you got it a different way.
