Like others here, our website (Woocommerce store) has been plagued with problems after upgrading this plugin. Our site is now dreadfully slow to the point where even API calls (Stripe, Real Time Shipping, etc.) are failing.

Does anyone know what the last stable version is? And will simply overwriting the plugin with the old files be enough to revert back? Sorry for the noob questions, but I kind of got tossed into this and it has already cost us a lot of time/money.

Thanks in advance for your help!

    Hello @captaincrank,

    Thanks for reaching out!

The latest version of the Yoast SEO plugin is v15.1.1. Can you please update if you haven’t done so and let us know if you experience any issues?

We tried 15.1.1 and the problem still persists. I need to roll back to a stable version, but I’m not sure which version the current problems were introduced since I’m not the one that regularly updates plugins.

Guess I’ll give 14.9 a shot since our customer service department is fielding complaints they are unable to makes purchases from our site. As I asked in my original post, will simply overwriting the plugin files be enough to do the rollback? Or were there any DB changes in v 15+?

For anyone else experiencing a stop in Woocommerce sales/customer complaints about being unable to browse/purchase, a rollback to V 15.0 fixed our problem. Both V 15.1 and 15.1.1 caused substantial performance problems which made our site very slow and customers unable to make a purchase.

Reverting was as simple as overwriting the V 15.1.1 plugin files with those from V 15.0. Cleared all caches after performing the rollback and optimized the DB. Speed and functionality have been restored. Now onto the next crisis….
