Decent Search Categories Box for body

Can anyone recommend a decent search category plugin? I’d like it to have a few search parameters to go deeper into my blog posts, but not too advanced that a novice can’t work out. I definitely need a shortcode as I want to place the search box in the body of my blog, not as a widget in a sidebar. I prefer not to have to fiddle with the theme php…
