    Since you are “in the field” of debugging, could you pretty please suggest me a debug plugin / bar / whatever to debug the admin? I really need it ASAP.

    I’ll try. Which backup plugin are we talking about? What about it are you trying to debug?

    Updraft, it works 30% of the time on our server. The developer and I could not come up with a simple solution.

    If David could not come up with a simple solution, one does not exist.

    It sounds like you need an event log to determine the point of failure, something debug plugins won’t give you because they gather information about the current process which is usually successful but may contain the wrong posts, for example.

    I wish I could help but I don’t know of an off-the-shelf solution for you. Your server error logs may hold some clues. A developer may be able to add some event logging to Updraft if you can throw some money at it.
