Deals – Coupon Posts – Google Indexing

  • I am setting up some Custom Posts that redirect to deals offers. I was planning on using the post expirator plugin to delete the posts after expiration of the deal, but I noticed that if I delete the posts, google would start bringing up 404 errors.

    I’m not sure what I should do… Should I not index any of the posts? Or is there a workaround?

  • You could redirect each of these expired deals to the most relevant page with many 301 redirect plugins. For example, you could redirect to a similar deal, a landing page of deals, or create a “Deal Expired” page where you redirect all the expired deals.
