Dealer Locator is linking dealer websites to 404
-
I have a client who has a “Dealer Locator” on their site. When a user searches for a Dealer near them, it provides a list of results of all the dealers closest to them. The dealer results then provide the dealer’s contact information. This information includes the dealer’s website. However, when a user clicks the dealer’s website (either from the search results or from the pop-up window that opens when you hover over their location on the map) to navigate to that specific dealer’s website, it is taking the user to a “404” page.
For some reason, WordPress is automatically adding the clients domain, in front of the dealers domain, when a user clicks the website.
For example:
If a user clicks dealer website: https://www.dealerwebsite.com
The action result redirects that website to be the following:
https://www.clientwebsite.com/dealer-locations/www.dealerwebsite.comNeed help as there have been several dealer complaints over the past 1 week and I have been unable to locate where the auto-redirect is happening.
There is a redirection plugin on the backend of the site, but there are no redirects affiliated with dealer websites or dealer locator.
The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]
