    Hello,

We got a warning from our hosting company that there were several deadlocks on the database that are linked to the Yoast SEO plugin. These deadlocks cause severe load spikes on our server and this is noticed by all the users, so it’s a serious issue.

I can send you some logs. But there is user data in them, so I don’t want to share them publicly.

Hopefully you can help me out, we see this as a very serious issue that needs resolving.

    Thanks in advance,
    -Kevin

    Hi @kevinbrands

We’re sorry to hear that you’re encountering these ‘deadlocks on database’ issues related to the Yoast SEO plugin.

Could you check if your website is on the latest version of WordPress 5.7.2, the rest of your plugins and themes are updated, and your website meets the necessary plugin requirements?

We checked the website you referenced and it looks like it is using an outdated version of Yoast SEO 16.0.2. We would recommend updating to the most recent version of 16.6.1 and seeing if this helps – https://yoast.com/help/how-can-i-update-my-free-plugin/

Otherwise, would it be possible for you to provide us with more details on what specific errors or warnings you are receiving from your server logs that are related to the Yoast SEO plugin? You can remove the portions that expose the user data, and just provide the section related to any warnings or errors related to the plugin.

also getting the same the only solution so far roll back to Yoast SEO free Version 16.5 and Premium Version 16.5.
