Dead search box

I have 2 questions regarding search inside the blog and forum I run:
– How can I make the main search box in the blog also look in the rs-discuss forum? (The main search box = the one one can activate as a side bare module)
– Any clues on why the search box included in the rs-discuss forum won’t work? I’ve pasted the error message firebug (Firefox browser plugin…) gives me below. I’m not much into php, so if I should provide some more info, please tell me and I’ll try ??

I use the K2 theme. Firebug appears ro refer to an error in the k2/js/livesearch.js.php file (line 22):
