Hi,

I’m trying to deactivate woocommerce and possibly delete it but whenever I deactivate the plugin, it causes a critical error. Please see the error code:

Hi @hawangatang,

It looks like the error you’re encountering is because your child theme requires a WooCommerce plugin installation.

To fix the issue, open your theme’s functions.php and navigate to line 53. Look for and eliminate any function that is used to require the WooCommerce plugin or WooCommerce’s function. Once done, try deactivating the WooCommerce plugin again.

If you are not comfortable with coding, you can seek help from the following:
- A local web developer
- Codeable.io
- WooExperts
I wish I could help more, but hopefully, this gets you going in the right direction to get the job done.

Hi @shameemreza

Thanks for your response! It looks like WooCommerce is a core feature of The7 theme. I guess since it’s not really a bother to other pages on the website I should just leave it alone ??
