    Hello Team,

I am highly disappointed with the W3TC plugin. Its creating new bugs everyday hence I decided to remove it. But after disabling the Minify, it started creating the problems. Now in my console error is showing of jquery not found and the Rev sliders are not displaying.

I want to remove the cache plugins as I am planning to introduce GEO on my website.

I have already excluded the main jquery file in js exclude section but no luck.

Kindly respond ASAP so that I can get rid of this stupid errors.

    Hello @sohil1

To completely remove W3 Total Cache please follow the instructions below:
    1. Purge Cache
    2. Deactivate and Delete Plugin
    3. Check .htaccess File (make backup)
W3TC will create many directives in the .htaccess file to control caching behavior. Each section will start and end with comments like “#BEGIN W3TC Page Cache core” and “#END W3TC Page Cache core”.
Ensure that no residual entries are leftover in your .htaccess file after deleting the plugin.
    4. Delete wp-content files and folders
    – cache folder
    – w3tc-config folder
    – object-cache.php (if exists)
    – advanced-cache.php (if exists)
    – dbcache.php (if exists)
    – upgrade folder
    – delete w3-total-cache folder in wp-content/plugins/ (if exists)
    5. Delete Cached Files from CDN (if using CDN)
Besides deleting all the relevant files, if you use CDN then ensure to purge the cached content from your CDN. This is necessary when you enabled the minify option in W3TC settings. You should delete the minified and combined scripts and CSS files from your CDN server to avoid the site breaking on the browser.
Please let me know if this helps!
    Thanks!

    Hello @vmarko

    Thanks for the quick response.

I have followed all the steps mentioned above already but cound’t find anything. There are various tech blogs who have listed the same steps as yours. I followed all the steps but the moment I disable and then follow all the steps, my rev slider is not working with some jquery issues.

Kindly suggest what to do now?

    Thanks

    Hello @sohil1

    Tha you for the information.
Can you please share your website URL so I can check this?
Are you using any other caching/minify plugin by any chance or CDN?
If the issue continues to occur when you removed all W3TC related files and folders it means that the issue is not related to W3 Total Cache. If you’ve had any other caching plugin installed besides W3 Total Cache there is a possibility that there are some leftovers of that plugin.
Please share your website URL and check for other caching plugins (possibly a server-side caching also)
    Thanks!

    Hello,

Thanks again for the detailed response.

As I mentioned in earlier message, everything works fine when the plugin is installed, but the moment I disable the minification or uninstall the plugin (with your mentioned steps) the rev slider is causing problem.

    Here is the website url:

    https://estalia.ch

No caching plugins or server side caching or CDN is installed for the website.

    Hello @sohil1

    Thank you for the information.
Well, if I may say, this is a very strange issue. In most cases, users are complaining that some things do not work when W3TC is enabled and not the other way around ??
Can you please disable minify So I can check your website and see the console errors?
    Thanks!

    Hello Marko,

Let me know what is the best time for you to look into this? I will disable for the moments when you are going to check. As this is live website, I can’t keep it buggy.

I am on the desk so if you are going to check this now, just let me know.
    Regards,
    Sohil

    Hello @vmarko

Can we connect on Google Hangout for live messaging? It will be better for both of us due to timezone constraint.

This is highly disappointing. Have spend almost 2 weeks but still nothing is happening. Tried many solutions but no luck. Regret my decision of trusting W3TC. Now can’t remove it. Even dev is helpless stating no solution is working.

    Hello @vmarko

I hired a guy and he solved it. All he did was to disable and deactivate the w3tc and then he deactivated async javascript plugin.

    Thanks for your support.

    Hello @sohil1

    Thank you for the information.
SO it was another plugin that was causing the conflict.
Glad to know the issue is resolved.
    Thanks!
