Deactivating Settings – Menu Editor Pro Menu

    Try this: click the “Settings” button on the menu editor page and change “Who can access this plugin” to” Only the current user”.

    However, that seems not possible as I cannot deactivate the Editor Pro Menu under Settings.

    That usually happens when you try to disable the Menu Editor menu item for your own role. The plugin has a couple of safeguards that are intended to prevent you from accidentally locking yourself out. You can still hide the menu item if you re-enable it for “Current user” after disabling it for your role role.

    Thank you for the quick reply. The settings option worked! Now I still have to find an easy way to disable the menus in the admin bar. Any ideas?

    Do you mean the WordPress Toolbar? (previously known as Admin Bar)? The Toolbar Editor add-on might help with that:

    Yes, that’s what I was looking for. I actually found a script that I adapted and put it into the functions file.
