Deactivating Polylang on one site in a WP network

Hi,

I’m running a WordPress network for my university. We’re a bilingual institution so we have Polylang installed and network activated. Now one site wants to switch to a different multilingual plugin and wants Polylang deactivated on their site.

So I’m hoping to deactivate the plugin centrally and instead have it enabled individually for each site that is using it.

My question is – if I deactivate Polylang centrally and instead activate it for a site individually, will I lose all the settings that had been put in place for that site previously?

I’m hoping the settings will be saved so as soon as I individually activate it again the sites will just work, but I’m not sure! Hope someone can help!
