Not a major issue but so if you decide to deactivate this plugin after you deactivate woocommerce it will throw this error :

Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Class 'WC_Stripe_Inbox_Notes' not found in /wordpress/wp-content/plugins/woocommerce-gateway-stripe/woocommerce-gateway-stripe.php:724

Short term fix is re-activate woocommerce plugin and then deactivate this first

  • Hi,

Sorry to hear that you are facing this error.

In some cases, Stripe can be used without WooCommerce, but please note it is recommended to use Stripe having a WooCommerce store installed/activated. If you use Stripe without WooCommerce, it means it will not be fully integrated. You may be missing out on important features that can help your payments to run properly on your store.

May I ask is there a reason to deactivate Stripe after deactivating WooCommerce? Feel free to provide more details so that we can better understand your request.

    Thanks.

My aim was not to deactivate any plugins but I was investigating an error on my website, so on my local development environment, I was trying to see if any of the plugins were causing the issues, I was deactivating them one by one but was not following any particular order when I noticed this.

    Hi @codenathan

Thanks for providing further context about your issue here.

I understand that you received the error message above after disabling WooCommerce while Stripe is active and enabling WooCommerce back resolved the issue.

This might help others in the future too. Thanks for sharing it with the community! ??

Meanwhile, I will be marking this thread as resolved. Should you have further inquiries, kindly create a new topic here.

    Thanks!
