Deactivating Events Calendar breaks site!!

    HELP. When I deactivate The Events Calendar so I can troubleshoot it breaks the site – all I get is a 500 error until I reactivate it.

    It shows a message that says:

    This page isn’t working.

    mysiteurl.com currently unable to handle this request.
    HTTP ERROR 500

    I really don’t want to delete it because I have a ton of events I just added, but I don’t know what else to do…

    Hello,

    I’d suspect that if you are getting this error when your deactivate, then you must have some custom code that is relying on The Events Calendar.

    If you share the full error you are getting, we might be able to help point you to the cause. In particular, I’d check for code in your theme’s functions.php file or for a custom plugin in your plugins directory.
