    Why does Cleantalk keep deactivating the spam filter when there is an update. I experience this as quite irrirtant because customers then start calling again then the mailbox fills up with junk again. Can’t this be done differently?

    Hello @mikejonker

    The spam protection should not be deactivated during or after the updating process.

    We need more details to investigate the issue:

    1. Problem site;

    2. Did you update the plugin manually, or was it the auto update?

    3. What version did you update the plugin from?

    If you don’t want to share such info here, you can open a private ticket in our support system:

    Thank you.

    Hello, @mikejonker.

    If you are talking about the plugin deactivation then there is no such code to deactivate itself in the CleanTalk plugin. I guess something else is deactivating the anti-spam plugin after it was updated.

    If you are talking about automatically changing the plugin settings then we offer a template feature for that. Please, follow this guide to create your own template for the CleanTalk plugin settings:
    https://cleantalk.org/help/plugin-template

    Did it help you?

    Hello,

    Thanks for your answers. We are talking about about 10 different sites which were deactivated. (there are 53 in there now) I have now reactivated them and activated a logger. I’m going to see how it goes. In any case, thanks for your answers.
