Installed and activated plugin. Setting up server cron job to execute wp-cron doesn’t seem to be working for me. Tried deactivating Advanced Cron Manager but after doing so a message in admin said: Can’t deactivate while plugin is active (or something similar.)

So I re-activated the plugin to make sure it was disabled first but now when I go to the Cron Manager settings in admin I get this message “Sorry, you are not allowed to access this page.” Should I just rename the plugin directory? I want to remove the plugin cleanly.

    Hi Roger,

looks like pretty standard WordPress flow, but I have no idea why you couldn’t deactivate the plugin. When it’s deactivated you obviously cannot access the Cron Manager page in admin.

From this point, you can just click Remove and the plugin will clean up after itself.
