deactivated/deleted plugins still present, newly installed ones not there

    For several days I’ve had trouble with unfindable new plugins and with old, deleted ones still existing in the admin menu.
    A few mins ago on a hunch I deactivated WP Custom Admin Interface and everything came right.
    Bug?

    Hi @wpusrr,

    No this is how it is supposed to work. Theres a button at the top of the menu editors which enables you to add newly added menu items to the menu. The reason we don’t delete menu items when plugins are deactivated/deleted is because people remove plugins temporarily all the time for various reasons, and we don’t want them to loose menu items by just deactivating plugins. I understand this may not work best for everyone, but when it comes to these things it’s best to be on the side of caution.
