    Hello,

I have Yoast Seo on my Website and added additionaly Squirrly. I deactivated already:

Post Type (post) was excluded from Squirrly > SEO Settings. Squirrly SEO will not load for this post type on the frontend

When I check Posts / Pages and Images the Squirrly Snippet is still active. How can I globally deactivate the Squirrly Snippets, that they do not collide with Yoast Plugin?

    Thx
    Sally

    Hi,

    Thank you for your feedback.

If you know the post type, in your case it’s Posts, you can select Post in Squirrly > SEO Settings > Automation and deactivate the option Load Squirrly Metas and other options you don’t want Squirrly to load.

The Squirrly Automation is used to work with the SEO optimization and Snippet for every post type and Squirrly Bulk SEO is used to do the SEO optimization for every URL on your website.

    Best regards,
    Calin

    Hello Calin,

thanks for your reply. I have already deactivated under Squirrly – > SEO Settings -> Home, Post, Page, Category, Attachment but they are still active on Posts, Pages, Categories and Attachments. Just when I deactivate manually like on my Pages and new Posts yet, the SEO Snippets are really deactivated.

So the Problem is, that all the Older Posts and Images have still the SEO Snippets active, how can I deactivate them for all?

    Thx

    Hi,

It’s weird that it’s not working for your website. Could be a cache thing?
You can switch OFF all the options from Squirrly > SEO Settings > SEO Metas and Squirrly > SEO Settings > Social Media and Squirrly > SEO Settings > JSON-LD.
This way Squirrly will not load the METAs at all.

Let me know if this solution worked.

    Hello,

nope, still the problem. Caches cleared, all options set to off, Button Activate Squirrly Snippet for this Page still activated …

I also deactivated / activated Squirrly again, still the same ..

    Thx

I see, but, if you don′t want to use Squirrly on your website, you can deactivate it and use the Squirrly features from your account https://my.squirrly.co

We tested the instruction I sent you and it worked on our test websites.

    Hello Calin,

thanks for your reply. To use Squirrly online would be really cool. Are there any special steps to do, before deactivating the Squirrly Plugin (not to erase data from Yoast etc)?

    Thx

    Hi Sally,

When you deactivate the Squirrly SEO plugin, only Squirrly data is deleted.

You can backup the Settings and SEO from Squirrly > SEO Settings > Import/Export in case you want to use Squirrly again for on-page SEO optimization.

    Best, Calin
