    Hello,

every newsletter sent out can also be accessed as an online version via a link. This link is publicly visible and is also crawled by Google.

How can I completely deactivate this online archive? We sometimes send personal data such as telephone numbers in the newsletter. These must not appear in search engines.

Thanks for your help – I couldn’t find anything about this in the settings or in my online research…

    Regards
    ini

    Hello @initiator

Thank you for reaching out to us with your concern.

I understand the importance of ensuring that sensitive information like personal data does not appear publicly or get indexed by search engines. Currently, MailPoet generates an online version of each newsletter, which can be accessed via a public link. However, there isn’t a direct option in the settings to completely disable this feature.

That being said, you can take steps to prevent these online versions from being indexed by search engines. To do this, you could add a noindex rule to your website’s robots.txt file or use an SEO plugin to block search engines from indexing the newsletter URLs. This won’t make the links completely inaccessible, but it will prevent them from appearing in search results.

Please feel free to reach out if you have any further questions or need more help!
