DEACTIVATE JETPACK and IFTTT before trying

  • I have about 7,000 tumblr posts so i was a bit skeptical but after I entered the information correctly for the API key it worked perfectly. make sure you enter all THREE fields on the Registration page otherwise you will get an error on your site and possible crash.

    However i do want to warn people deactivate all social media sharing sites you have connected to wordpress before importing! Since i had Jetpack’s publicize and IFTTT installed, it also duplicated all of these posts back to tumblr, linkedin, twitter, facebook page, etc. which resulted in a TON of cleaning up to do as all my social media feeds have my old tumblr posts on them.

    hope this can help save someone else out there who tries it!

    sorry to double post but i did figure it out. It crashed my site because I forgot to add the “application website” during the API setup on tumblr so it wasn’t reading my site properly. It actually works like a charm now. Now i jsut have to organize everything. I can’t figure out how to change my rating but sorry for the rant. I am still new to wordpress and website building is hard work. Glad you made a decent plugin for tumblr! <3
