Hello All,

Looking for feedback from the community. We were getting lot of spam through our contact form as we did not have any CAPTCHA configured. As a result the email address associated with the contact form was blacklisted by Microsoft. We are using Microsoft Outlook account for email relay. We had to work with Microsoft to fix the issues. This included password change for the account, enabling MFA (Multi Factor Authentication), Adding couple of CNAME records to DNS and TXT record. After this the email account works fine it is able to send and receive email. However when we test it via the Contact Us form on our website it does not work it gives us the error Could not authenticate your SMTP account. We have updated the password of this account on WordPress. We also checked the SMTP Host and port they seem to be correct as well still it is not working. The mailer we are using is Other SMTP option. Any help/guide on how to resolve this issue will be greatly appreciated .

sure @macmanx , the solution is to have a smtp relay server correctly configured, this way it is not needed to use microsoft.

in case that @kumar29 needs a couple hands building that service, please let me know.
