• Dear WordPress users,

I’m doing a presentation at school on hacktivism, and I’d like to demonstrate to everyone what it means to DDOS a website. I think having a controlled environment in which I set up my own website for the demonstration would be appropriate, but I’m worried I’m going to get in trouble with WordPress. I’ve downloaded the Low Orbit Ion Cannon and I’m just a few clicks away from launching a DDOS attack on my website. Does anyone have anything to say about this? Will I get in trouble with WordPress? Is there a better way to simulate this?

    Thank you,

    Matt

  • If it’s your website on yor own hosting platform, there’s no issue. The only person that’s going to be affectged is you (unless you’re running on a shared server in which case your hosting company will probably get annoyed with you).
