    Does anyone have experience with the free and paid versions of WordFence?

    We’re happy with the free version but still get lots of DDoS attacks. Our error log is full of “client denied by server” messages and during business hours our CPU usage is at 100%. The majority of the DDoS are coming from outside Canada and the USA.

    If we upgraded to the Premium plan would country blocking and the IP block list help us lower CPU usage and DDoS attacks?

    Hi @matthewbara,

    Wordfence is an endpoint firewall, so can catch/restrict/block users using your Brute Force or Rate Limiting settings but (when optimized) after PHP loads but before your site hosts any content to them. Restrictions therefore are possible, but it can’t stop the requests from initially hitting your site, even if it ends up blocking them.

    In terms of your specific question, our excellent team at presales @ wordfence . com could assist, as I’m unable to discuss Premium features such as Country Blocking here on the www.remarpro.com forums that are provided for our free plugin only.
