DB queries on the frontend

    WPVivid calls queries around 10.
    Is this necessary?
    UpdraftPlus calls only one.

    Hello @ashf

    Not sure how other plugins work, our plugin may call more than one query. This is because it needs the queries for it’s features.

    Ultimately, different plugins use different practices.

    OK… but is it necessary on the frontend?
    I’m concerning about impact on frontend performance.

    @ashf Can you show us the specific queries you see on the frontend? Then we can see if they are necessary.

    Also, you can go to the plugin settings > General settings > Uncheck the option ‘Calculate the size of files, folder and database before backing up’ to reduce some queries.
