• Hi,

    In resume
Backup is done. The db manager plugins work in the root network login domain. No error message. There is a blue interogation dot beside ” ?database” in the menu bar? but the plugins work.

When i try to login as in my individual domain admin i get the an error message:
Your backup folder MIGHT be visible to the public
To correct issue, move the .htaccess file from wp-content/plugins/wp-dbmanager to????
I did change the htaccess.txt to .htaccess. I did create the db backup in the content folder. I then transfered the htaccess fil to the db_backup folder in the content.

Notice that this time the message stop at to??? like it does’nt know where to move te file to?

I have also notice that the system have also created a db-backup folder not only in the content but in the html. Just under apache folder. I had to move my .htaccess file to that folder first and bring it back from there to the content db backup folder to make the content folder writable…

I wonder if there is something wrong with this. I did follow the step exactly as ask.

Now, the DB backup folder in the html, just under apache folder, is empty.
The content DB backup folder has the .htaccess fil into it.

    What is the problem really?

I guess i will answer my own self since help does not seems to come.

DB_Manager plugins does’nt work under network admin activation.
cause classic error ” database might be seen buy other bla bla” The classi error that nobody can explain clearly.

I decided to deactvated the network activation and activate the db manager in the root domain where wordpress is install. No more error message.
Not shure the other blog benefit from this but since they share the same DB they should.

So: Don’t activate DB manager in network admin. Won’t work. Activate it in the root domain where wordpress is installed. That should make the other blog share the same backup….

not shure 100% on this but try and let me know if solutions or any advice.
