Db corrupt after 3.3 Upgrade

    I thought someone might be interested
    Running several WP 3.2.1 installations on Hostgator
    Upgraded to 3.3 (yep I didnt backup)
    All seemed good then I tried editing a page
    WP said I didnt have permissions & it all went pear shaped
    All pages and posts disappeared Arghh!

    After much stress I checked MySQL db integrity in PHPAdmin which reported _posts table as corrupted. Did a repair & everything seems OK now

    The same thing has now happened on a second 3.2.1 installation…
    Im reluctant to proceed with further 3.3 upgrades

    Can someone confirm a “seamless” upgrade to 3.3 on Hostgator ?

  • wow… my blog bestleisureinfo.com and insuguru.com use wordpress 3.2.1 and hosted on hostgator too, after read your experiences about upgrade WP to 3.3 make me reconsider it to make upgrade.. ??

    After Ive had time to test and retest I now see that this issue is unrelated to WP 3.3 I suspect a plugin but cant say for sure so wont mention it here

    You should just ask support from your hosting provider. I am pretty sure they can resolve this matter.
