DB Backup is a file per table – how to get a single zipped file

    This is the free version of Updraft.
    When the database is backed up it is done so in a file per table.
    Is this a setting in updraft or in the db?
    can it be controlled/set elsewhere? In a cinfig file perhaps?
    I’ve used Updraft Plus Many times and have never had this issue.

    Apparently you are examining the internal directory used by UpdraftPlus to generate backups, and seeing intermediate files. But the actual database backup file generated at the end by stitching them all together is a single file.

    I am viewing this directory: /wp-content/updraft

    The last db backup was on 9/23.

    I am still seeing all of the single table files created on 9/23 along with the full single db.gz file.

    Hi,

    Can you take a screenshot and share it with us here? UpdraftPlus only produce a single db.gz file.

    If they are not getting deleted, possibly the backup hasn’t finished – can you post a link to the log file? e.g. Post the file at pastebin.com and post the link here.

    From what’s in the screenshot, you have an immense amount of data in Wordfence; it’d be a good idea to go into Wordfence’s settings and clean out old data.

    I have a feeling the database simply needs to be cleaned out. Some tables are way to large.
    I will clean up the database and if I continue to have the issue, I will be back.
