Is it possible to add the day of the week, swop the day and month and remove the @ sign on the event title?

    It currently shows e.g May 24 @ 13.00 – 15.00

    I would like it to show “Saturday, 24 May, 13.00 – 15.00”

I have looked through the support topics to resolve the ‘@’ sign issue but the solutions published are not working for me.

I would be grateful for details on how I can make the necessary changes.

    Thanks
    Kathryn

    Hi Kathryn,

Thanks for your post. You can set the Date Format in the general WordPress settings. That will carry over to much of The Events Calendar. However, not all parts of the calendar obey that setting. We are working on making this more adjustable and international-friendly. Thank you for your patience while we work on that.

We have a tutorial for changing the @ symbol here. Is that the one you tried? If it’s not working it may be because of your theme, or other customizations on your site. Unfortunately, we aren’t able to help with that sort of thing here on the free forum.

    Hi Leah,

Yes the @ symbol snippet is the one I have tried. It’s not a huge issue just bugs me a bit!

Regarding the date format I have changed the date format in the general wordpress settings and all is good on the details page of the single event posts – it would just be great if these settings applied to all aspects of the calendar. I think its important for people to be able to quickly see what day an event is on. I know it’s obvious from the calendar view but the list view with images is a priority for the site I am currently working on.

This is a great plugin – just needs a bit of tweaking to perfect it!

Many thanks and I look forward to the update.

    Hi Kathryn,

I’m sorry our snippet didn’t work for you. Unfortunately as I mentioned above we can’t really assist with that sort of thing here on the free forum.

We are working hard on making the date settings fully customizable and obeyed everywhere on the calendar. It’s definitely a priority for us, and will hopefully be available soon. Thank you for your patience while we work to improve the plugin ??

    Cheers,
    Leah
