• We are not able to display Datepicker fields. We get the following error:

    BP Profile Search: don’t know how to display the datebox field type.

    The field is a Datepicker (HTML5 field) type.

    We also tried reverting back to version 4.7.1 of the plugin and that still didn’t work. Please help.

    Hi,

    Did the Datepicker work for you in a previous version, or is this the first time you try to use it?

    I’m asking because I’m afraid that the Datepicker never worked…

    We have a dev and a live site:
    1. The live site is still on version 4.7.1 and the range fields show up. However, when you click on them a calendar doesn’t show up to pick a date.

    2. On the dev site we had upgraded to version 4.7.3 of the plugin …then, upon noticing the range field was not showing up we reverted back to 4.7.1 in the hopes it would show again, but that didn’t help, the error I mentioned above is still present in both versions on the dev site.

    The strange thing is that in 4.7.1 in the admin backend settings for the search form the Search Mode dropdown list is empty. But in 4.7.3 the only option in the Search Mode dropdown is “normal” for the datepicker field. Don’t know if that has to do with the error.

    Hi Sarah,

    I’ve taken a look at this Datepicker issue, and I am unable to find a quick fix. If you are in a hurry, your best option is to go back to version 4.7.1 or 4.7, if those work for you.

    After you install an old version, make sure to go through each of your forms, and Update them.

    Thanks for the reply. I will keep an eye out for the update. Like I said above, reverting back to 4.7.1 doesn’t help and even on the site that it is showing the range fields, it’s not showing a datepicker when you click in the field so it would be difficult for the user to know how to format the date.

    So…I will see what the client wants to do. I’ll look into it more to see what I can do without modifying the plugin itself, but otherwise we might just have to wait for an update with a fix.
