I installed The Event Calendar but when I “Add Event,” the time and date, location, venue, organizers, etc. do not appear within the “Add Event” so that I can add date and time, venue, organizers, etc. They only appear on the dashboard. I tried different ways but still the same.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi @towongo ,

    Thanks for reaching out.

Could you try to enable only The Events Calendar plugin and use a basic theme (like 2020 theme), and check if that makes a difference? [see Testing Conflicts With Themes and Other Plugins]

If that doesn’t help, please try manually updating the Events Calendar plugin through FTP and check if that helps. [see Manual Updates]

Could you also provide the version of the following? This will help me understand how your system is set up.

    • PHP
    • WordPress
    • The Events Calendar
    • Theme

I am having a similar problem, maybe:

If I enable the Gutenberg Block Editor in The Event Calendar Settings I can NOT add/edit the Metadata in the Avada Editor (“Default”, “Backend / Avada Builder” and “live”), but I DO get the Metadata displayed on the Frontend single event view. The “live” Editor Navigator even shows up nothing, “No content has been added to this post yet”, even though there are Avada blocks and stuff in the Post and they do reappear if I disable the Event Gutenberg checkbox…

Now if I disable the Event Gutenberg Setting the Metadata Editor in the Backend DOES display, but the Metadata in the Frontend is NOT visible anymore.

I do not have the Gutenberg plugin active and would like to stay with the Avada Editors… It would be okay for me if there is a way to fetch the Metadata myself with shortcodes, dynamic content or whatever Avada Element, but so far nothing gave me a solution.

WP: 6.1.1, Avada Pro V7.9.1, The Events Calendar 6.0.6.2

    Hi @antiart, that’s definitely weird. Let’s see.

Could you follow this article here in setting up Avada with The Events Calendar and see if that does the trick for you? https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/k/avada-website-builder/

Also, it would be good if you could share the direct URL to your website. Please do not share any credentials. This is for us to follow the WordPress Forum Guidelines.

Looking forward to helping you with this one.

The Gutenberg setting is disabled for now. If it was enabled, there is the Metadata-box right under the Description. If you inspect the right sidebar, there are also remnants of the Gutenberg Metadata stuff like

    <!-- wp:tribe/classic-event-details /-->

That sidebar is the place where I actually want to display the Data and it shows up when I enable the Gutenberg option. As far as I know, we did not do any changes on the template files, just Avada styling.

I also noticed that we are running PHP 8.1.14-he.0 and Events Calendar does not fully support it yet. Maybe this is causing my trouble…

    Hi @antiart

    Thanks for your response.

Yes that correct. PHP 8 is still currently have incompatibilities with our plugins.?

    See the article here: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/k/php-8-support/.

Could you try downgrading your PHP to PHP 7.4? It would be best to use this version, which we fully support.
