Date settings / Show export buttons does not seem to work properly

On the Events settings page, in the Date settings section, there is a section for “Show export buttons on:”. It has four options: List only, Single only, Both or None.

The default is Both, and I see the export buttons on both event list entries as well as on the banner at the bottom of the post. As expected. When I set it to None, the export buttons are removed from both, again as expected.

However, when I select Single only, it shows up on both, and when I select List only, it shows up on neither. This is not what I expected. I would like to remove them from the Events List, but leave them in the post banner.

I’m using the Events list widget to put an events list in my sidebar, but I tested it using a shortcode version and saw the same results.

Also, it would be nice if this were controllable from the widget/shortcode directly, instead of having to use the same default across the entire system. A system wide default makes sense, but it would be nice to be able to override it when necessary! ?? As a programmer-type, I would say that about *every* system option, but I would say that especially about visual entries like this.

In any case, please let me know if I’m missing something or if this really is a bug.
