• Hello,

Can you please consider enhancing the schedule exceptions option by making it possible add an exception for a date range?

Now with this Corona crisis, all restaurants have to close until 6 April, with a possible extension for another one or two month. If that happens, it means you have to add more then 60 exceptions one by one. Each exception is 3 clicks so 180 clicks.

This is not only useful for now, but also for holidays where a restaurant closed for 2 or 3 weeks.

    Thanks
    JP

    Hi JP,

Thanks for the feature suggestion. It’s a good idea, but I can’t say if or when we might be able to look into implementing something like this. I would suggest that, for the time being, instead of using exceptions, you adjust your main schedule to reflect your current closure.

Hi, changing the main schedule is not an option as that means your guest can’t make reservations for after the closure either.

If for time sake, it’s good enough when the system generates and saves all individual dates based on the entered date range. That way the front end validation doesn’t have to change.

So the Covid-19 restaurant closing has been extended to 28/4. That’s an extra 3 weeks requiring to add 21 exceptions to every website.

Please add a setting that allows you to enter a date range with a few clicks.

    Thanks
    JP

Hello, I too use this plugin and you are right about adding all those exceptions. We also have live entertainment with an event calendar that was full of canceled gigs. I found it’s easier to just shut down the site with a temporary closed message. You can go look at my site if this is an option for you. https:// walburgrestaurant.net

@txclass1 it’s not an option to shut down the site. Restaurants do want to keep taking reservation for when they are allowed to open again.

The walburgrestaurant site is not closed. I can make a reservation for today and all of April.
