Date picker not working

Hi!
I’ve set up an event calendar for a client of mine using MEC Lite and the MEC Shortcode Builder for Elementor.
Things are looking great presentation wise, but I cannot get the date picker function working in the preferred tile view layout.
I’ve now reverted to using just the month selector, but would of course love to give the users the ability to filter the events by a date range.

There’s a couple of problems here:
-The date picker doesn’t filter the events as expected (no filtering done)
-The date picker actually drops down into the displayed events area, effectively opening the link attached to the event below (z-index problem?) the date picker
-The date picker isn’t responsive, causing any attempt to select a date on mobile to focus the input on the text input field.

Would it be possible to have the date picker function working in the preferred layout? Have I unintentionally changed any settings in MEC / MEC Shortcode causing the described behaviour?

If above is not possible to achieve, would it be possible to hide irrelevant months from the date dropdown (this event calendar is focused on x-mas events and therefore won’t have data to be displayed in any other months besides November and December.
