Date picker custom field output not formatting properly

  • Although the ACF Date Picker field is configured to output the date in a specific format (F j, Y), when it’s included in a sidebar widget the field value displays as Ymd (YYYYMMDD). Is this a bug? Shouldn’t it deliver/display the ACF field value according to that field’s formatting setup?
