Date Order – Not Alphabetical For Category Listing

Please post the code you’re using for this.

Sorry, I’m new to all of this WordPress, php, coding activity – I wouldn’t know where to find the code.

All the “creating category/links” activity is just done from the WordPress control panel.

Where would I go, (and what would it look like), to find the coding?

ah, you said you created, I thought you meant you wrote the php code yourself.

I’m still a little confused. Are you saying you created categories, and named them April 2006 etc.? Perhaps you could better explain what you did, and post a link so we can see an example. I need that to ‘get’ what’s going on.

The category, (for the links), is called “Previous Life” it’s on the left hand side of the page.

There are different ways to show the links when displaying them in the “Manage Links” section of the WordPress control panel – name, link id, (which puts them in the correct date order as I would like them), uri, description, owner, rating. But even displaying them by “link id” in this interface, has no effect on how they look on the page.

Solved!

Did some digging and found that I had to go into “edit category” and then select “show by id” in there – and then it shows it in the correct order on the blog.
