• I am running the latest version of WordPress (5.7.2) and using Contact Form 7 plug-in, latest version (5.4.1).

The contact form displays everything correctly on the screen for the viewer of the website to send me a contact email. It shows today’s date on the website contact me screen. So, the person who completes the form never needs to enter a date.

when I receive the email from the person who sends the “contact me” email, all data is there except for the date.
When I view the email it has all sender information (sender name, sender’s email, subject, message) and for date it has:
    Date Sent: [Date]

So, I have no idea when the contact me email was sent since it only says [Date].

    For shortcode I am using:
    Please enter the date (required)
    [date* date-datum “today”]

Can you tell me how I should configure the shortcode so that the email message I receive from the sender shows the date that the user sent the email?
    Thank you
