    Hello,

I have setup my website, The Events Calendar Settings & Event Individual Timezones correctly and the times are still displaying incorrectly when exporting the calendar.

For example, if you export the calendar to Google the times will all be 5 Hours early. A 6:35PM Event will say 1:35PM in your Google Calendar.

Please advise how to fix this error. I have attached images of the settings. (I have tried using the Events Calendar Settings “Time Zone Mode” in both options, neither worked. I have each individual event & the overall site timezones set to Chicago).

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi @august579,

    Thanks for reaching out!

I was unable to replicate this behavior when exporting the same event to Google Calendar, as shown in this screenshot.

Can you please double-check the timezone settings for the Google Calendar to which you’re adding the event?

    Thank you,
    Erica

    Hello @eeide

Thanks for the reply! Very important note, the time is perfect when exporting a single post; the issue is when adding the entire calendar to your Google Calendar via the “Subscribe To Calendar” option. This is when all the times are incorrect. If you try doing it this way I believe you will recreate the issue at hand.

Thanks again for your timely response.

    Hi @august579,

I was able to replicate the issue with the main calendar. I’m glad you brought this to our attention, I can see how this issue impacts the imported events in Google Calendar.

I’ve created an internal ticket BTRIA-2376 to address this issue, and I’ve included your specific use case in it to communicate it to our team.

We prioritize bugs by taking into consideration the number of users impacted as well as how the bug impacts one’s ability to run an event/sell tickets. I don’t have a specific timeline as to when this issue will be resolved, but trust that our team is aware. Our team communicates updates and bug fixes in our newsletter and via our changelog.

I’m happy to help if any other questions are coming up around this topic, otherwise I’ll go ahead and close this ticket.

Thanks again for reporting this issue and for using The Events Calendar!

    Have a great day.

    Hello @atousanajafi & @eeide

Thank you, this is a pretty major issue for us as we have a large foot traffic running through our website & your plugin. We would be happy to upgrade to Premium if that would help us resolve this issue faster, as it is effecting our business quite poorly as customers continue to arrive 5 Hours early to events.

Please let me know, thanks again.

    Hi @august579,

I understand how it affects your users. Please rest assured that we’ll address bugs according to their given priority.

Also, this issue is related to The Events Calendar not our premium product, so upgrading to the premium version won’t affect this.

You can check our release notes for each update here: https://theeventscalendar.com/category/release-notes/

    Hello @atousanajafi

I was provided with this internal ticket ID: BTRIA-2376
Is there somewhere I can monitor this ticket? The issue we are facing with the plugin is unfortunately quite serious for us, thanks again as always.

    Hi @august579,

Unfortunately, there is no public URL for tracking the issues, and the system is internal. The issue has been reported recently, and it takes time for our team to investigate and resolve the problem. Rest assured that we’ll update you once the issue is resolved.

I’m happy to help if any other questions are coming up around this topic, otherwise I’ll go ahead and close this ticket.

Hello! I’m having this exact same issue here. When adding the entire calendar to Google Calendar via the “Subscribe To Calendar” option, the events are coming in with the wrong time and the wrong time zone [(GMT+00:00) Coordinated Universal Time].

I have also tried using the Events Calendar Settings “Time Zone Mode” and the WordPress global site setting for Chicago without success. I have also adjusted each individual event to be set for Chicago time and have tried using “Use manual time zones for each event” under The Events Calendar settings which has not worked either.

As it stands, the “Subscribe to Calendar” function is worse than useless – it’s giving our non-profit’s subscribers incorrect times on their Google Calendar and causing lots of friction.

Has any progress been made on this issue over the past 5 months, or would it be better to opt for a different plugin?

    Thank you.
