    Hi guys!

I need to add to permalink event date (if possible hours also, but not nessesery). How to do it?

My question is caused of trying to make CSV works. On default it does not support same event titles, and overwrite those with same name (IMHO that is kinda joke for plugin existing so long). Adding date is my idea to solve the problem.

    Hi @sigurros,

We recommend using “pretty permalinks” ( %postname%) with The Events Calendar, you can read about that here:?Event Permalinks
    ?
I don’t believe there is a way to automatically append the event date to the event URL without customization. As it stands, there isn’t a built-in way to do this in the plugin other than you manually changing them.

About the issue that you’re experiencing, could you share the steps for replicating the issue?

    Hi @atousanajafi

I want to use CSV build function. Unfortunatley, all events with the same title (but different dates), are overwiren. I belive that this is because of the permalink – it dont add a number at the end (for the same “titles”) as it do when I add event in classic way or by “community events” addon.

In other words, when in CSV file are 10 events with title “Super concert” and different dates it wont add all of them, but only one. (Technically it will add the first one, then next one will overwrite the first one and so on…) I suspect that it don’t make uniq permalinks when add from CSV (adding number at end)

    Hi @sigurros,

Do you use The Events Calendar CSV import feature? Would it work if you add the date manually to the titles? e.g.: “Super Concert 8/6/2024”

Would you mind sharing the CSV file with me?

    Hi @sigurros

I hope you’re doing well. I just wanted to touch base and check in with you. It’s been a little while since we’ve heard from you. I was just curious if you had the chance to try out the recommendation provided above.
