  • Hi @dxladner,

Thanks for getting in touch, and sorry to hear that you’re experiencing difficulties here! Unfortunately, due to changes made to WordPress core and the need to update our code to maintain compatibility, we’re not able to provide detailed support for older versions of our plugins. If you’re able, I’d encourage you to update to the latest version of The Events Calendar to see if it resolves your issues! Feel free to reach out to us if you should have any questions before or after updating.

    Thank you!

    Caroline,

so I updated to the newest version and it did not fix my date formatting issues.

I am using the Events Version 4.2.4

I have the following Date Format settings:

    Date with year: F j, Y

    Date without year: F j, Y

but in my single events details view where I am showing all the information about a single event the date keeps showing as:

    Date: 2016-09-01

    Please help ??

    Thanks,

    Darren

    Hey Darren,

Do you happen to have a link to your site? I think it would help to see that issue since we haven’t been able to replicate it on our own test sites.

    Thanks!

of course go to the events section:

    https://wppluginplayground.com/events/

and then click on a single events to see the wrong date formatting.

    Thanks,

    Darren

    Hello Darren,

What is the date format setting for your WordPress install? You can find it under Settings > General

    Cheers,

    Hey Darren,

    Thanks for following up here.

Does your current theme provide any customizations for our plugin? Is there a “tribe-events” folder within your theme that possible has some templates there that is overriding ours?

My thought here is that there may be a template there that is calling the event date but not passing it through the functions we use that output the date based on the available settings.

Let me know if this helps.

    Thanks!

    Yes,

looks like there is a tribe-events folder within the theme. The folder folder contains many different templates. Is there one I can edit or I should delete in order for the date format to work correctly.

BTW, this is my first time working with Events Calendar.

    Thanks, Darren
