Please advise if you can add a setting to change the date format shown when using the date picker field.
It appears to only show a US date format – MM/DD/YYYY. Many other locales use DD/MM/YYYY

Perhaps you could copy the format set in WordPress under Settings -> General.
    Thankyou

    Hello,

Our plugin displays the date format as MM/DD/YYYY but saves it in format that is configured in WordPress Dashboard > Settings > General > Date Format.

    Hi
Its how it is displayed that I am raising the point about.
When someone not used to seeing MM/DD/YYYY sees the date they have just picked displayed in that way, they can think the date picker is wrong and they have chosen the wrong date.
I’ve no issue with how the actual data is stored.
    thankyou

I agree with 2020 media. Not only might they think the picker is wrong also they might fill in the wrong date by hand. Since you can fill in the date by typing for ex 06/08/1991

The problem here is the users in some areas where they are used to start with the date and then the month might think she/he writes 6 august but instead writes 8 june

    Greetings,
