Date field not showing date picker

    I have a pod definition for a Walk entity which includes a Date field.

    When the administrator is editing a Walk the date field no longer shows a date picker but rather displays just a string eg

    2021-07-28T00:00:00+01:00

    wp version is 5.8.1, pods version is 2.8.3
